Southeast (Fujian) Motor Corp has seen tremendous export increases in the first half of this year of around 2,351 vehicles, almost up 500% year on year. Lioncel sedan, Delica, Freeca light vehicles as well as Soveran built by Southeast Motor were mainly exported to Middle Eastern countries including Iran, Syria and Ukraine, etc.

Southeast (Fujian) Motor was cooperatively built by Fujian Motor Industry Group and its Taiwan partner China Motor Corp in 1995. The company started to export complete-built vehicles overseas as of last year and the models, with their high performance ratio, have gained wide recognition in the local markets.

Currently Southeast Motor is making efforts to promote export by negotiating with more countries in the East Europe and the Middle East region. The automaker has already signed an agreement with Iran under which Southeast Motor is expected to export 8,500 vehicles to the country. Exports to countries like Egypt, Syria and Ukraine will all exceed 2,000 units this year, and negotiations with Belgium are already under way.
