Mitsubishi Car Sales Up 30pct In Indonesia

From Yahoo News| July 30 , 2007 15:59 BJT
Sales of Mitsubishi cars in Indonesia totaled 30,000 units in the first half of this year, up 25% from the same period last year, Mitsubishi sales agent PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian said.

The impact of the 100% oil fuel price hikes that caused a slump in the automotive market in the country in 2006 until early this year was almost over, company marketing executive Duljatmono said.

Cold Diesel medium trucks had contributed 65% to the total sales of Mitsubishi cars in the country.

Mitsubishi, which has failed in the passenger car market, is the leader in the market for medium trucks, dominating 70% of sales in the country.

The company targets sales of 65,000 units of trucks in 2007, up from 56,000 units last year.
