1.0L-1.6L market share over the mid-grade vehicle's

Statistics released yesterday by China Automobile Association showed that small vehicle market share1.0L~1.6L has increased more than 53%, which has become the most popular models in all segments of the market, exceeded 1.6L~2.0L medium vehicle that had dominated the market previously.

Last year the sales of 1.0L-1.6L displacement of small vehicles reached about 2.2 million units. New Huaxin research institution indicated that along with the ever increasing international oil prices and many manufacturers introducing new small vehicles, the market in the future will be further developed.

Earlier this year, Shanghai GM announced most price cut of Lova and Aveo around 9,000 yuan. The prices of Lova and Aveo with standard configuration are only 70,000 yuan. Nissan and Dongfeng Kia RIO launched 6 models ranging 1.4L-1.6L, at the price between 71,800~118, 800 million on 18th January; as competitors in the same market, Hyuandai Accent and Guangzhou Honda FIT with standard configuration are priced closely to 70,000 yuan.

Japan's Daihatsu Motor executive director said: "China will gradually expand the mini vehicle market in the future. the mainstream models under 1.6L will suit the Chinese market better."
