Sales of Chang'an Ford Mazda were up by 108.3% from 62,925 units in 2005 to 131,079 units in 2006, which exceeds the average increasing level in the industry. Concerning the fierce market competition in 2007, general manager David G. Thomas expressed that: Chang'an had no plan to decrease the market price. Chang'an Mazda becomes the first China mainstream car manufacturer who refuses price decline publicly.
