Volvo will launch two new models in China, a SUV model XC90 and a small car C30, Chinese media reported today.

C30 is the first two-door sedan, and is developed on the C1 platform of Ford Motors, on which Mazda, Focus and S40 are assembled.

C30 is powered by a four-cylinder or five-cylinder engine, and its current price in the United States market is about $22,700 to $25,700 (RMB 172,000 to RMB 194,000). However, some dealers said this model would be about at RMB 400,000 ($53,300) in Chinese market.

Last week, Volvo SUV XC90 sports version was launched into the Chinese market, with a market price of RMB 818,999 ($110,000).

In addition, Volvo will introduce another two models, S40 and S80.

S40 will be made by Changan Ford Mazda, Ford’s partner in China, according to an unnamed source.
