Changan Auto to sell cars in Brazil for the first time

Shanghai. August 29 (Gasgoo.com) - The first batch of 300 vehicles made by Changan Auto have been distributed to different cities in Brazil, and another 750 vehicles have been shipped to port city of Victoria, according to a Ministry of Commerce report.

These Chinese-made cars target on middle and low income segment of Brazilian population, the report said.

"We are very optimistic about Changan Auto's future in the Brazilian auto market, and we will expand set up 25 dealer shops to sell five models made by Changan Auto," said Mantovani, general manager of Changan Auto’s chief sales representative.

In the first half this year, China exported 241,000 vehicles, up 71.2 percent from a year earlier, and total value of these exports reached $2.7 billion, up 110.7 percent, according to China Chamber of Commerce for Imports and Exports of Machinery and Electronic Products.
