GM India sales grow 114%

General Motors India has posted a growth of 114% in sales in the month of August 2007 as compared to the corresponding period last year. It sold 5,817 units in August 2007 as against 2,720 units during the same period last year, making it the highest ever monthly sales achieved by GM India.

Eulogising the performance, P Balendran, V-P, GM India, said: "The sales this month clearly reflect the customers' confidence in the Chevrolet brand and the consistent growth in the monthly sales is an indication of the success of all the carlines of GM India."
