Toyota FJ Cruiser to enter Chinese market in December

Shanghai. September 4 (Gasgoo.com) - The 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser will be imported to China on completely built unit and sold through Toyota's sales networks nationwide, according to Guangzhou Toyota authorized dealerships in Beijing.

FJ Cruiser is expected to arrive at dealer showrooms in December and sold at about 600,000 yuan ($79,500). This is the third model Guangzhou Toyota sold in the Chinese market following Camry and Highlander. Toyota has very high expectations for the expressive, value-laden SUV.

The FJ Cruiser features 4.0-liter V6 engine, 245 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle has a five-speed automatic transmission on both the 4x2 and 4x4 configurations. A six-speed manual transmission is available on 4x4 models.

The model also features fashionable appearance as well as personal design. It can seat five-passengers; other characteristics include 17-inch steel wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, star Safety System which includes Vehicle Stability Control and traction control, an anti-lock brake system with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist as standard.
