Shanghai. September 11 (Gasgoo.com) Beijing Hyundai may resort to its secret weapons – Avante to boost its car sales as Elantra is losing popularity in Chinese market.

Two Avante models, E16 and S20 were found recently inside a Hyundai plant in Beijing, Guangzhou Daily reported earlier this week. These two models are likely to replace Elantra, a car models that has experienced dramatic sales decline this year.

In fact, Elantra has borrowed many features from its prototype Hyundai Avante, Guangzhou Daily said.

If these two models are priced at reasonable range, they will have a good chance to take back the market share that Elantra has lost this year, the report said.

In a separate development, Beijing Hyundai completes the construction of its second plant in Beijing by the end of this year, new Elantra and Coupe models will be produced over there.
