Shanghai. September 27 (Gasgoo.com) - China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Corporation (CNHTC or Sinotruck) started to deliver its first batch of trucks to Vietnam, Shanghai Securities News reported today.

CNHTC, one of the largest heavy-truck producers in the world, has signed a long-term export contract with Vietnam automaker TMT this August.

Under the contract CNHTC will export at least 2,000 trucks annually to the country in cooperation with TMT, said Wei Zhihai, deputy general manager of CNHTC.

Wei said CNHTC plans to produce 100,000 vehicles this year and export 10,000 units. The company’s complete truck sales in the first eight months have topped 70,000 units, about 20.97 percent of Chinese heavy truck market. The company exported 9,833 units during this period.

The company led the industry last year by selling 60,000 vehicles, including 6,296 units being exported.

TMT is the largest truck maker in Vietnam. Annual sales of the company were 10,000 units currently, with anticipated sales of 20,000 by 2008.
