Shanghai. October 22 (Gasgoo.com) Dongfeng Honda, a joint venture automaker between China's Dongfeng Group and Japan's Honda Motor, aims to raise its annual capacity to 168,000 vehicles, Chinese media reported today.

Dongfeng Honda is planning to rise its capacity by 40 percent to 168,000 units in the near future, the Beijing News report said.

The company is running at its full capacities, but its current output capacity cannot meet market demand, the report said.

In the first nine months this year, Dongfeng Honda has sold 89,307 vehicles, which includes 30,346 CR-V vehicles and 58,961 Honda Civic vehicles, both among best selling models in Chinese market.

To reach this goal, all Dongfeng Honda needs is to increase its production facilities, the report said.
