Shanghai. October 25 (Gasgoo.com) –The Chongqing-based Changan Suzuki Automobile Co plans to launch four new models next year, a senior company official said.
Changan Suzuki, a joint venture company invested by Changan Automobile (51%), Suzuki (35%) and another Japanese investor (14%) in Southwestern city of Chongqing, currently sell only four series of models in Chinese market, including Alto, Lingyang, Tianyu and Swift.
"We plan to introduce four new models and six redesigned ones by 2008 to fill our product lineup, and details will be unveiled at appropriate time," said Wang Wei, vice-president of the joint venture.
A company source said one model will be a 1.0 Liter concept which is to be launched by the end of 2008.
Changan Suzuki sold 75,000 vehicles in the first nine months of this year, and the automaker has to sell additional 65,000 vehicles in the fourth quarter to achieve its sales target this year.
