Chinese-made vehicles hold 2% of Chilean auto market

Shanghai. October 26 (Gasgoo.com) - China's homegrown automaker Chery and Great Wall sold 607 vehicles in Chile in September alone, which accounts3 percent Chilean auto market, according to a report from China's Ministry of Commerce.
 
The report said Chery has sold 381 vehicles in September in Chilean, outstripping rivals like Citroen, Honda and Volkswagen in Chilean market.
 
Chery's sedans are priced between $7,400 and $8,000, and its SUVs are sold at $18,000 in Chilean market.
 
Corsa Plus, a car model made by Shanghai General Motor was the first Chinese made car entering Chilean market, which was followed by a Chinese home-grown automaker, Great Wall. Chery, as a late-comer, entered Chilean market in September of this year.

Chinese vehicles account for two percent market share of the total during the first three quarters of this year in Chilean market, achieving parity with Subaru and Fiat.
