BAIC to Cooperate with Lear and Johnson

Recently Beijing Auto Industry Holding Company has signed cooperative contract with Lear in Detroit to build a new JV together in Beijing, meanwhile Beijing Auto and Johnson also agreed to build a strategic cooperative relationship with each other. According to the contract, Beijing Auto will cooperate with Lear on the part of auto seat, wiring harness, TPMS and door lock. Based on their existing joint projects, Beijing Auto and Johnson will develop new project on the field of auto seat, interior decoration, electronic appliance, hybrid power battery and battery chargers.

The two sides have made further consent to launch a new R&D center in Beijing, which will not only develop new models but promote the company's comprehensive strength. Beijing Auto has attached great importance to auto parts and components industry. President of Beijing Auto Xu Heyi, deputy-director Guo Xinmin, as well as other delegation members, headed for America to discuss cooperative matters just at the beginning of this year.
