From Shanghai Daily| November 02 , 2007 10:32 BJT

GENERAL Motors Corp yesterday announced it has appointed Maryann Combs to replace Raymond Bierzynski as president of its Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center Co Ltd in China.

The appointment came three days after the world's largest car maker announced a plan to build a US$250-million GM campus in Shanghai, including the GM Center for Advanced Science and Research for research on alternative fuels as it increased its R&D capability in China.

Being a member of the GM global engineering committee, Combs has accumulated management and technical experience since starting with GM in 1982.
