Brilliance Auto to produce Junjie in Egypt

Shanghai. November 6 (Gasgoo.com) – Zhonghua Junjie, another sedan produced by Chinese automaker Brilliance Auto in CKD assembly in Egypt will hit local market in near future, Chinese media reported today.

This is the second sedan model that Brilliance Auto introduced to Egyptian market since Brilliance Auto entered CKD cooperation agreement with Egyptian partner BAG two years ago. Under the agreement, Brilliance Auto will assemble Zhonghua vehicles in Egypt using local assembly lines and CKD auto parts provided by Brilliance Auto.

As a local partner of German automaker BMW, BAG produces BMW 3, BMW 5 and BMW X3 and imports other BMW brand vehicles in Egypt.

Galena ( known as “Zunchi” in Chinese pinyin system), the first Chinese sedan produced in CKD form in Egypt, hit Egyptian market in May last year and was welcomed by Egyptian car buyers.

It is reported that BAG has established two sales networks to sell Brilliance Auto-made vehicles in Egyptian and South African markets. And Brilliance Auto will use BAG as a launch pad to expand its operations to other parts of Middle East region.
