Shanghai. November 23 (Gasgoo.com) –Japan's fifth-biggest car maker aims to sell an annual 300,000 vehicles in China by 2010, up from 100,000 units this year, Ozaki Kiyoshi, director and senior executive officer at Mazda in charge of China business told Chinese reporter at the sidelines of Guangzhou Auto Show last week.

Mazda unveiled its Mazda 2 sedan at the media preview of the auto show. The model will be built in the Nanjing plant of Chang'an Ford Mazda Automobile Co Ltd. Mazda 2 is scheduled to be launched early next year.

In another development, Mazda will have two separate sales networks when Changan Mazda Sales Co starts business operations on January 1 of 2008.

Originally Mazda had only one sales network run by FAW-Mazda to manage the sales of Mazda 6 and Mazda 3. However, Mazda's another Chinese partner, Changan Ford Mazda has been in fights with FAW-Mazda over the sales of Mazda 3 produced by Changan Ford Mazda.

The fight has led to the suspension of the production of Mazda 3, and seriously damaged Mazda's performance in Chinese market.

In order to take back the sales of Mazda 3, Changan Ford Mazda established its own sales company in past April to oversee the sales of both Mazda 3 and Mazda 2. Starting from the first day next year, Changan Ford Mazda will take back the sales of Mazda 3 from FAW-Mazda.
