Shanghai. November 23 (Gasgoo.com) - Five Chinese automakers exhibited vehicles at the recent Middle East International Motor Show 2007 in Dubai, which run from November 14 through 18.
Five Chinese automakers, including Chery Auto, Haima Auto, Beiqi-Foton Auto, Guangdong Meidi Group and Zhejiang Gonow, displayed their vehicles at the biggest auto show in the Middle East region.
In a press conference, deputy general manager of Chery International, Xin Xiaodi said six of Chery's vehicle models had won export certification from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and another two models are on the waiting list.
Chery said it has sold 50,000 vehicles in Middle Eastern region since it entered this market six years ago.
Ruan Zaosheng, an official from Gonow auto, said the company has already sold 8,000 pickups and SUVs and it expects to get the GCC certification next year.
