Changhe Q25 Rolls off Lines,BAIC’s Strategy Begins to Bear Fruits

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai Dec 28th)– This December 27th, Changhe Q25, a small SUV from Chinese domestic carmaker Changhe Auto, has officially rolled off manufacturing line at its Hongyuan plant in Jingdezhen.

With a pre-sale price of 55,900 rmb to 76,900 rmb, this small city SUV is not only the first SUV model of Changhe’s, but also the very first passenger car co-developed by both Changhe Auto and Beijing Automotive Group(BAIC). Besides boosting sales, Q25 is also of great importance to bring up Changehe’s brand awareness.

In the year of 2013, BAIC Group has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Changhe and introduced its “Dual Brand” strategy. HeyiXu, Chairman of BAIC Group, saw great value in this agreement, noting “the development of Changhe is a vital link in BAIC’s national strategy.”

Since then, BAIC Group has strongly supported Changhe’sdevelopment in the areas of finances, technologies, products and management and now its“Dual-Brand” strategy has finally began to bear fruits.

Thanks to the cooperation, Changhe will successively introduce 6 platforms and 10 models covering sedan, SUV, MPV and alternative energy vehicles.

In the year of 2014, Changhe’s sales rose 32% to 141,000 units compared with the year of 2013.This carmaker also witnessed a 12.3% sales increasein the first half of 2015.Besides, Changhe has also successfully expanded its sales channels.

Analysts believe Changhe has progressively developed its own brand culture and achieved anincreasingly clearer vision on management and channels, and the year of 2016 will be a great year for this Chinese domestic carmaker.
