DongFeng Peugeot Citroen recalls 336 Citroen C4 Picasso
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai May 18th)– DongFeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Company Ltd., will recall some of its defected models in China from May 18th, 2016, according to the company’s files submitted to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China.
According to the file, this carmaker will recall 287 Citroen C4 Picasso manufactured from Aug 18th to Oct 13th, 2015, due to a defected component in the model’s door lock system. To be more specific, the doors of the relevant model may be unable to lock up, or even unexpectedly unlock and open up in some cases, thus introduce safety hazard.
Another 49 imported Citroen C4 Picasso manufactured from Sep 15th to Oct 13th, 2015, will also be recalled by the company, due to the brackets of safety belts in the back seats may already be damaged during manufacturing, and unable to provide protection for passengers as designed during collisions.
DongFeng Peugeot Citroen will examine recalled vehicles and have the defected components replaced. Owners of relevant models could get more detailed information through various platforms including hotlines, Wechat domain (AQSIQDPAC) and official websites.
