Gasgoo.com (Shanghai May 30th)– Volvo Cars(Asia Pacific) announced on May 27th that Chen Lizhe, General Manager in charge of the company’s sales in Taiwan market, will be promoted to be the General Manager at Volvo China Sales Company, responsible for marketing, sales, channels and aftersales, effective from June 1st, 2016.

Mr.Chen joined Volvo China(Taiwan) in 2005, working for the company as marketing director and sales director successively. He was promoted to be the General Manager in charge of the sales and business development in Taiwan market in 2009 and scored a great report card of 40% growth successively in several years.

Some industry experts believed, Mr.Chen, who is very experienced in sales, will make a good General Manager and lead Volvo to develop marketing and sales business steadily. But as a luxury brand with international ambition, what Volvo really needs for a President now is an all-round leader with profound understanding in the comprehensive strategy planning of China’s future market.

For that, Chen Lizhe may be not the one for Volvo’s new president and CEO right now.
