Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile underwent personal changes, Su Weibing to be the new head

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 22nd)– Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Company announced great personal changes in its management level. Su Weibin, currently the vice general manager of Dongfeng PSA, will succeed Jean MOURO’s position as the general manager at Dongfeng PSA and Jean MOURO will be transferred back to PSA Group. Jean Christophe MARCHAL will be the new vice general manager at Dongfeng PSA. All the changes will be effective from this August 1st.

A company staff revealed that the management changes are driven by the demand of the company’s further development, and also in accordance with the PSA Group’s regulation.

Su Weibing, born in 1970, graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1991and then got his MBA degree from Tsinghua University in 2003. Su was promoted the deputy director of the company’s President Office in 2001 and then worked in many positions including the vice general manager at Zhengzhou Nissan. Su has been the director and general manager of International division at Dongfeng Motor since last March. It’s believed Su will accelerate the international expanding of company. But Su may have to address a more urgent task: how to achieve continuous improvement.

According to the latest statistics of China’s Passenger Car Association, the sales of Dongfeng PSA dropped 22.1% in this May.Cui Dongshu, the general secretary of China’s Passenger Car Association, said that Dongfeng PSA’s decline in sales are mainly due to the market pressure and the strong sales of Germany and Japanese models.
