SAIC Group’s sales volume increases 21.9% in July, while Wuling faces a second decline

Gasgoo (Shanghai, August 9^th)—SAIC Group released its July production and sales report recently, which shows the sales volume reaches 419,188 units in July and increases 21.9%. SAIC Volkswagen, SAIC GM and SAIC GM Wuling are still the main forces. SAIC Volkswagen and SAIC GM keep a steady growth while Wuling faces a second decline since June.

SAIC Volkswagen sells 132,008 units in July, increasing 32% with the same period of last year. Expert analyses that the good performance are resulted by its product line, terminal channels, marketing measures, as well as the sluggish auto market in last year.

SAIC Volkswagen sells 970,018 units in the first half of 2016, ranking first among all domestic passenger vehicles. It also becomes the first passenger vehicle company with a sales volume exceeding 1m units in 2016. With the launching of a series of new models, it’s expected that SAIC Volkswagen has continuous growth in future several months.

SAIC GM wins the monthly sales champion in June. Report shows that SAIC GM sells 130,452 units in July, increasing 36.6% with the same period of last year but decreasing with June. SAIC GM has a total sales volume of 964,716 units from January to July, increasing 7.51%.

SAIC GM Wuling sells 130,000 units in June, decreasing 12% with 148,000 units in the same period of last year. Its sales volume in July reaches 126,097 units, decreasing 1.2% with the same period of last year. The total sales volume reaches 1,138,526 units from January to July, increasing 2.23%.

In total, SAIC Group has reached 55.4% of its annual target in July, selling 3,420,963 units and increasing 6.7% with last year. The pressure of reaching annual target is gradually decreasing if it keeps the current trend.
