Chana’s sales volume in July: self-independent brands are lagging behind

Gasgoo (Shanghai, August 10^th)—According to the latest sales data published by Chana Auto, Chana sells 191,683 units vehicles in July, increasing 18.2%. The total sales volume from January to July is 1,674,973 units, increasing 2.9%. It’s quite noticeable that the sales volume of Chana self-independent cars and SUVs are continuously decreasing, and none of the self-independent brand models reaches a sales volume exceeding 10,000 units.

Joint-venture brands including Chana Ford, Chana Suzuki and Chana Mazda all have increasing sales volume of 27.5%, 13.8% and 2.3% respectively. In contrast, self-independent brands’ performances are quite worrying.

Cars: Eado and Alsvin decrease greatly

Mainstream models Eado and Alsvin all have great declines in July. Alsvin sells only 4,724 units, decreasing 40.8%. Eado’s sales volume reaches 10,214 units in July last year, while the number decreases 18.8% to 8,295 units this year. It’s expected that the sales volume of Chana’s self-independent cars will have a further decrease with the coming of market slack seasons, intense market competition and marketing shortcomings.

SUV: CS15/CX70 has average performances while CS75 declines greatly

SUV also performs badly. CS75 sells only 6,737 units in July, decreasing 40%. CS35 sells 9,594 units in July, leveling with last year. Besides, CS15 and CX70, being launched this year, all sold more than 6,000 units in July. It’s learned that CS75’s consecutive declines are related with the unfavorable policies. Besides, the launching of Boyue, Roewe also influences the sales volume.

MPV: Honor, Auchan sell less than 10,000 units

Honor, Auchan, the two mainstream MPV models all sold more than 10,000 units in June, while the number of Honor decreases greatly to 5,751 units. Auchan sells 9,781 units in July.
