Some Automakers Increase Target Sales in the Chinese Market
Gasgoo (Shanghai, August 11th)—Double-digit growth of the passenger vehicle market has encouraged some automakers, most of which are Chinese brands, to improve annual target sales in 2016.
Target sales of Geely has increased to 660,000 units due to great performance of newly-launched products, of which sales were 48,522 units in July with a yearly rise of 64% and monthly rise of 4%. There may be five modes, mainly SUVs, to be developed in Geely.
Dong Feng Fengshen has also upgraded target sales to 130,000 units from 125,000 units. Cars sales of this Chinese brand were 26,756 units in the first seven months with a yearly rise of 46.5% while SUVs sales were 49,566 units with a yearly rise 27.4%, which could tell that its product structure has been more reasonable than others.
Dong Feng Honda has increased target sales to 500,000 units from 450,000 units. Its sales in July were 50,600 with a yearly rise of 64.65 %. And sales of this company has totaled 297,800 units in the first seven months, completing 66.18% of the previous target.
Sales of CR-V and XR-V were 83,173 units and 70,706 units respectively, indicating that SUV was the best seller.
Moreover, Changan Mazda may be likely to increase its target sales, given the fact that sales in the first seven months, about 100,200 units, has taken up 63.75% of the target sales of 160,000 units.
