Dongfeng Nissan introduces Qashqai to Chinese market

Shanghai. November 26 (Gasgoo.com) - Dongfeng Nissan will introduce its crossover vehicles Qashqai to Chinese market in the first half next year, the company’s deputy general manager Ren Yong announced during the recent auto show in Guangzhou.
 
Ren said Dongfeng also plans to locally produce Qashqai crossover in China, but he did not disclose any specifics on this plan, Shanghai Securities News reported.
 
Prior to Dongfeng Nissan’s plan, Shanghai VW also announced a plan to introduce a Polo crossover vehicle next year. Auto analysts say Shanghai VW also has a plan to introduce a Touran crossover or even Passat crossover next year.
 
In the first ten months of the year, Dongfeng Nissan sold a total of 217,352 vehicles, up 39.2 percent from one year earlier. Ren said he was confident that the company could achieve its 300,000 target announced earlier in the year.
 
Tiida, a compact car similar to Volkswagen’s polo, is Dongfeng Nissan’s best selling model. In the first ten moths this year, Dongfeng Nissan sold 97,658 Tiida vehicles, up 13.1 percent from one year earlier.
