Shanghai. November 28 (Gasgoo.com) – Audi will recall Q7 model vehicles in China, the company’s PR department confirmed to Guangzhou-based Southern Metropolis News last Friday.

Audi PR officials admitted to the newspaper that safety risks had been identified in the electronic-controlled trunk of Audi Q7 models sold in Chinese market. The problem is that car owners have risks of losing control in opening or closing their trunk.

One month earlier German federal motor vehicle registration (KBA) emailed to 150,000 Q7 owners to ask them to return the vehicle for repair. However, Audi China did not take any action until last Friday.

Since its coming to Chinese market in July 2006, several thousands of Q7model vehicles have been delivered to Chinese car buyers.
