Shanghai. December 19 (Gasgoo.com) - Geely Group plans to export 50,000 vehicles in 2008, an increase of 20,000 units from this year, a Geely official said at the company’s recent international dealership conference.

Zhao Jie, vice-president of Geely Group, outlined the automaker's aggressive target at Geely International Dealership Conference in Shanghai. He added that the automaker will vigorously boost its sales and services network in international markets.

"We have opened 11 Geely dealerships in Venezuela since we started to sell Geely vehicles last June, and we plan to add 9 more by next year, " said a Geely dealer from Venezuela.

Geely announced that about two-thirds of its autos will be sold overseas by 2015, underscoring the company's ambition to become a leader in China’s automobile exporters.

The company, which has just secured a $1.5 billion export contract with a Russia partner last month, is confident to export 30,000 vehicles this year. Last year, the company exported more than 150,000 vehicles last year.
