Shanghai. January 8 (Gasgoo.com) - Chery Automobile has developed a new 0.8 litre turbocharged engine, which makes Chery the first Chinese automaker to develop a low emission engine with turbo-charging technology, Chinese media reported today.

The three-cylinder turbocharged engine has a maximum output of 44 kW at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 90 N·m. It will be quipped on Chery QQ3 and QQ5. Chery didn't give a timeline for mass production of the engine.
