Maple Aims to Achieve 51,000 Units in Production and Sales in 2007

Chairman of Shanghai Maple Automobile Xu Gang unveiled Maple's "518" work agenda for 2007 recently. According to the agenda, Maple plans to produce 51,000 complete vehicles and 80,000 engines; sales volume is fixed at 51,000 units, of which domestic market takes 43,000 of the total volume and 8,000 units are to be sold abroad; profit margin is expected to reach RMB5 billion. In 2007 five all-new models will be launched and a new platform will be set for new models.

Shanghai Maple produced 28,518 units, a rise of 18.73% year on year, while sales come to 27,858 units, also a big boost comparing to prior year.
