According to statistics from China Auto Industry Association, domestic SUV sales were up 21.23% year-on-year to 238,100 units, due to the implementation of fuel consumption tax and a rise in fuel price. Mid-high grade models become hot sales this time in comparison with that of traditional economical cars.

Because of the fluctuation of fuel price and a high demand for a fuel efficient diesel engine, SUV market will trends toward economy and fashion, and this can be exemplified by the successful marketing of Beijing Hyundai Tucson, Chery Tiggo, Beijing Jeep Outlander and Dongfeng Honda CRV last year.

This year SUV market will continue to develop towards city SUV and crossover CUV, among which 1.6L-2.0L model will become a new favor.
