Southeast started to straighten out car dealers

Jian Qinglong, general manager of Southeast Motor, recently said that market shares of different dealers within the same level of market segmentation will be used to assess franchised dealers.

Jian Qinglong said that in 2007 in terms of the southeast market conditions, the whole market will be divided into various regional markets, in order to achieve the goal of reasonable sales distribution and unified management. Southeast-motor will review market shares, make dealer consolidation, rectify the potential market strategy and open up new markets further.

In 2006 Southeast Motor cooperated with Mitsubishi Motors, and launched China-made Lancer, Galant. However, sales were not good, even if Southeast-motor sales reached 90,000 units, it is also only equivalent to half of Geely, third of Chery. Narrowing of marketing channel management and introduction of the "survival of the fittest" mechanism are two effective methods introduced by the new General Manager. He hopes that the cooperation with Mitsubishi Motors will make sales steadily increasing in the next three years.
