Thanks to the contribution of Chery’s oversea market and effective R&D management, Chery profits saw a great gain in 2006 compared with  previous years.

Chery launched Tiggo and A5 in mid-range sedan market in 2006, while mini car QQ accounts for less and less percent of Chery’s total sales volume. According to statistics unveiled recently, sales of Chery's QQ compact car hits 13,713 units, a boost of 5.9% and Flagcloud cars were down by 28.6% to 9,804 units; Easter sales rise 152.9% year-on-year to 2,575 units; Tiggo NCV sales increase by 388.8% year-on-year to 3,901 units, topping the list of domestic SUV sales; Totally 6,800 mid-range Chery A5 were sold in the first month.

Currently the oversea market accounts for 20% of Chery’s overall sales volume. Chery plans to export at least 80,000 vehicles in 2007, aiming at selling 10,000 units with a sales volume of $600-700 million.

The surging profit margins of oversea market relies prominently on the expansion of Russia market .It is said Russia market takes more than 50% of Chery oversea sales.
