63% Chinese buyers use online resources to help choose a car, survey finds

Shanghai. February 20 (Gasgoo.com) – About 63 percent of Chinese car buyers use Internet resources to help them making a buying decision, according a survey made by China Car Consumer Satisfaction Commission.
 
The study also finds 75 percent Chinese car buyers are affected by automobile ads; 58 car buyers polled indicate that car price is a major concern in their buying decision; 82 percent car buyers are satisfied with car deliver services and 84 percent car consumers are worried that declining car prices may have negative impact on car safety.
 
Comparing to a similar survey made in 2005, the recent survey also finds a 27 percent growth of buyers’ satisfaction over in-time delivery and a 32 percent growth of satisfaction over new car’s appearance.
 
The recent survey also finds that 92 percent of new cars purchases are made in 4S dealerships; 84 percent car buyers are accompanied with family members or friends. The survey shows companions’ comments and emotions have a significant impact on buyer’s decision.
