Shanghai. February 27 (Gasgoo.com) – Beijing Hyundai’s second plant will start operation as of April 8. The new facility is projected to produce 100,000 HDC vehicles this, state media Xinhua News Agency reported today.
Lu Zaiwan, general manager of Beijing Hyundai said the output of the second plant will be raised to 200,000 units next year and to 300,000 units by 2010.
Lu also said Beijing Hyundai is planning to introduce two B class sedan models to Chinese market in November or December and a third B class sedan model in August 2009.
Beijing Hyundai aims to sell 380,000 vehicles in Chinese market this year. The joint venture automaker sold 231,137 vehicles last year, according to National Association Passenger Vehicle Manufacturers.
