Shanghai. March 11 (Gasgoo.com) – Honda plans to sell 2,500 Acura vehicles and establish 20 dealerships in Chinese market this year, according to Honda’s chief China business officer.
Simizu Houkyou, Honda’s chief officer in China said the sales volume is not Acura’s priority in Chinese market. “Customers satisfaction is far more important than sales volume for Acura,” he said.
Currently Acura offers four years/ 100,000 kilometers warranty and free maintenance for additional four year. This is the best service ever offered by upscale brands in Chinese market.
Honda sold a total of 1402 vehicles in 2007 (67 RL units; 359 TL units and 976 MDX units). The Japanese automaker sold 40 vehicles (15 RL vehicles and 25 TL vehicles) in 2006.
Houkyou also said the automaker has no plan to locally produce the model in China.
