Great Wall to showcase electric, hybrid concept at Beijing auto show
Shanghai, March 28 (Gasgoo.com) China's largest pick-up truck maker Great Wall Motor plans to display four car models -- two electric cars, one hybrid and a hatchback concept -- at the upcoming Beijing auto show, state news agency Xinhua reported yesterday.
The Great Wall Gwkulla is powered only by the electric motor, which generates a speed of almost 140 kilometers per hour at one charge. Another Peri is equipped with the lithium battery, which enables the car to get 130 km max on a full charge.
Both the Great Wall Hafu hybrid and Feifan hatchback can meet Euro IV regulations. Top speeds are 160 km/h and 174 km/h respectively.
In addition, Great Wall plans to launch a five-seat compact sedan and a mini SUV model some time later.
Great Wall Motor sold 54,185 pickup trucks last year, representing 29.1 percent of China's pick up market.
