Wabco adds new product line in China
WABCO Holdings Inc, the world's leading vehicle control system producer, said it would start producing air-conditioner compressors in China to meet the rising demand.
The new product would join its portfolio of anti-braking systems, brake valves and vacuum pumps to help drive up sales in the world's largest commercial vehicle market.
Wabco said the broadened product line-up will enable it to expand its presences in the bus and coach segment in China, which is growing fast.
It now cooperates with China's major coach makers, including Youngman Automotive Corp Ltd and Yutong Group Co Ltd.
The Belgium-based company entered the Chinese market 22 years ago and now has two plants in China, one in Qingdao, and one in Jinan in Shandong Province.
