Shanghai, April 10 (Gasgoo.com) China's largest home-grown automaker Chery Auto has posted its March sales of 46,181 vehicles (including exported units), making it one of the top three automakers in the Chinese market for two consecutive months.

Chery was the third largest automaker in terms of sales in February with 27,926 vehicles sold, following Shanghai Volkswagen's 143,948 units and Shanghai GM's 40,851 units.

The implementation of China's IV emission standards in Beijing and the soaring prices of raw materials such as steel, oil products and labor costs are all testing the profit-making capability of automakers in China.

But Chery said it has no plan to raise car prices in the near future, saying they have been well prepared for this challenge.
