Chery displays six "Safe and Save" series at Beijing auto show

Shanghai, April 21 (Gasgoo.com) In its exhibition area of 2,500 square meters at the ongoing Beijing auto show, Chery Automobile displays its six splendid brand series, highlighted by the Faira and Eastar models. Chery’s "Safe and Save" theme was also announced at the show when these brands were unveiled.

"Safe and Save" is a sublime version of its consistent brand philosophy -- "much safer, more energy-saving, more environment-friendly." The product portfolio of Chery displayed at the 2008 Beijing show has demonstrated its core competitive edge as a leading carmaker in the national brand auto industry. The exhibits of Chery at the show include 26 models under six series.
 
1. The "Faira Series" is Chery's biggest highlight at the show. Faira, based on Chery's new-generation small car platform, covers different models: the sedan, hatchback, sports car and SUV. It will be a gift to the Beijing Olympics by a national brand auto maker.

2. The "Family Sedan Series" is composed of Chery A3 and Chery Storm2. The A3 series on display this time includes the sedan and hatchback models, and they are ready to enter the market this year. The Storm 2 carries Chery's dream of creating a new generation of national brand car.

3. The "Silver King Series" is highlighted by Chery Eastar-6. This vehicle is powered by 2.0 TDGI or 3.0L V6 engine. This is a high-end, high-quality Chery vehicle created by integrating the latest eastern and western car-making features.

4. The "Brave Warrior Series" has new Chery Higgo. Pickup Higgo3, while adopting a flexible power assembly scheme, integrates the popular elements of Crossover Vehicle and Lifestyle which are popular in North America. It is also a family vacation wagon like a pickup.

5. The "Sports Passion Series" has two remodeled racing cars, which are 1.5 VVT sports version Chery A1 and 1.8S sports version Chery A5 respectively.

6. The "Oasis Series" includes five vehicles using the diesel engine, hybrid, fuel cell and flexible fuel, which are already applied on QQ6, A5, Tiggo3, Eastar and Cross Eastar respectively. This series demonstrates of Chery's strong environmental awareness.

Judging by its numerous exhibits and eco-friendly theme at the 2008 Beijing auto show, Chery's products lineup is likely to expand further to cover all areas of the passenger and commericial vehicle segments.
