Shanghai, April 28 (Gasgoo.com) At the 2008 Beijing auto show, Nissan Infiniti debuted its latest luxury SUV series, including the EX35 crossover, high-end sedan M35, sports sedan G35, FX series and some other vehicle models carrying its brand.

"The China market has become the focus of Infiniti's global strategy. Infiniti’s China marketing construction will speed up in 2008," said a Nissan executive.

Infiniti sold 1500 units after going on sale in China in one year. That figure is much higher than expected, so the Chinese market is seen as the focus of Infiniti's global strategy as well as the essential part for Nissan’s mid-term project, Carlos Tavares, Executive Vice-President of Nissan Auto told the reporters at the show.

According to Tavares, Infiniti has built dealerships for comprehensive layout in eight cities of China—Shanghai, Beijing, Dalian ,Chengdu, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Guangzhou and Hangzhou. Moreover, Infiniti will speed up sales and service construction aiming at building up 15 dealerships by the year-end to cover most parts of China.

Yukihisa Kayashima, managing director of Nissan (China) said that Infiniti has made its mid-term project in China and Infiniti products—about 10 vehicle models—will be doubled by 2012 in China. "We plan to launch a new model in the China market at the year end or at the beginning of next year," he said.
