Benz SLK Passion 08 sells for $96,751 and above in China

Shanghai, May 5 (Gasgoo.com) Mercedes SLK Passion 08 limited edition begun on May 1 to accept orders in the Chinese market with a price tag of 676,000 yuan ($96,751) and above.

Its three variants, the SLK 200 K Passion 08, SLK 280 Passion 08 and SLK 350 Passion 08, are priced at 676,000 yuan, 754,000 yuan and 814,000 yuan respectively.

Mercedes-Benz officially launched Mercedes SLK Passion 08 limited edition at the Beijing Auto Show last month with the on-the-spot endorsement of Chinese super-star Zhang Ziyi. The world's best-known Chinese film actress had demonstrated her driving ability and the model's handling prowess and was much of the talk at the show.

The Benz SLK Passion 08, the automaker said, leads the way for the ever expanding the Mercedes-Benz sports car lineup in China, making an indisputable argument that sportiness is an indelible attribute of the three-pointed star.
