Twin-turbocharged BMW X6 to go on sale in June
Shanghai, May 14 (Gasgoo.com) BMW said recently that BMW X6, the first SAC hybrid model displayed at the 2008 Beijing auto show, will go on sale in June this year. BMW confirmed that the XD35i 3.0 version powered by twin-turbocharged engine will go on sale at first with a selling price at 970,000 yuan ($138,571).
Unlike other vehicles of the BMW family, the X6 features a roof-line that tails off sharply towards the rear of the vehicle. And the X6 marks BMW's first use of its new Dynamic Performance Control system, which works in unison with the XDrive all-wheel drive (both are standard on the X6) to maintain driving stability and control accuracy. DPC is a standard electrically-controlled control system that works to distribute drive forces between the front and rear axles.
Now XDrive50i and XDrive35i available in two types of engines have been launched.
