Brazil begins anti-dumping probe into China-made tires

Shanghai, May 20 (Gasgoo.com) A Brazilian industry or trade association initiated a 180-day antidumping investigation into tires imported from China, and will make its preliminary anti-dumping decision after the investigation.

The association said these tires under investigation include tires a diameter of 20 inches, 22 inches and 22.5 inches. It said that market shares of China-made tire in Brazil rose from 0.2% to 6.2% in from July 2003 to July 2007.

Early in February the U.S.Commerce Department also announced its plans to impose anti-dumping duties on new pneumatic off-the-road (OTR) tire imports from China.
