Aston Martin selling in China for 2 mln - 4 mln yuan
Shanghai, May 23 (Gasgoo.com) The British iconic car maker Aston Martin made famous by suave British secret agent James Bond in his movies, was introduced into China's rapidly growing luxury sports car market in November 2007. The Chinese customer who places a 20% deposit now for buying an Aston Martin car can drive the luxury car away in October this year.
Sales staff of the Shanghai Aston Martin Retail Center, franchised by GruppeM and located in Xintiandi, said that Aston Martin now has three models for China sales, including the DB9 Volante, DB9 coupe and V8 Vantage, priced between two million yuan ($287,000) and four million yuan each. Aston Martin's second showroom in China opened in Beijing in March 2008.
Aston Martin follows Spiker and Ferrari into the Chinese market where an economic boom helps to multiply a growing number of affluent Chinese who are fueling the demand for luxury sports cars. The luxury brand aims to reach its annual sales of 500 units in mainland China by 2010.
To buy this car, Chinese customers should palce an order for it four months in advance. Buyers can order the Aston Martin cars now with an upfront fee of 20% at the Shanghai and Beijing retail centers and can pick their cars up at the end of October.
Aston Martin will hold its Asia Cup races in China this year. The inaugural 2008 Aston Martin Asia Cup will comprise 12 races in China, Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore.
