BMW X6 sports coupe goes on sale in Hong Kong

Shanghai, June 12 (Gasgoo.com) Mr. Christoph Stark (2nd, right), BMW China CEO & President, and Guo Lirong (2nd, left) BMW Hong Kong (PR China) general manager, are jointly hosting the launch ceremony of the all-new BMW X6 Sports Coupe in Hong Kong on June 10.

BMW launched the world's first all-purpose sports coupe BMW 6 in Hong Kong on Tuesday. As the first SAC hybrid model displayed at the 2008 Beijing auto show in April, BMW X6 will go on sale in China's mainland as well in late June. BMW confirmed that the XD35i 3.0 version powered by twin-turbocharged engine will go on sale at first with a selling price at 970,000 yuan ($140,000). The 2008 BMW X6 will be available in two engine configurations: the xDrive50i with 400 hp and the xDrive35i with 300 hp. Both configurations come with twin turbo and direct injection engines.

BMW X6's design combines the sporting elegance of a large BMW Coupe with the powerful presence of a BMW X model. The BMW X6 comes as standard with BMW's intelligent xDrive all-wheel-drive technology with electronic control for variable distribution of drive power between the front and rear axles, consistently adjusted to driving conditions at all times and in all situations.

The BMW X6 offers customers unique features and performance ability in a combination. Unlike other vehicles of the BMW family, the X6 features a roof-line that tails off sharply towards the rear of the vehicle.
