Shanghai, June 18 (Gasgoo.com) Suzuki Splash will be produced in Changhe Suzuki Automobile in 2010 but not in Chongqing Changan Suzuki Automobile, a company official told auto.sina.com recently.

Chongqing Changan Suzuki Automobile and Jiangxi Changhe Suzuki Automobile are the Chinese joint ventures of Japan Suzuki Motor Corporation.

A recent report said Chongqing Changan Suzuki Automobile plans to introduce Splash model -- the upgraded version of Alto and to produce the model locally at year-end. But Zhou Shining, general manager of Jiangxi Changhe Suzuki Automobile, denied this saying.

He said Suzuki will not build Splash at Changan Suzuki but may possibly produce it at Changhe Suzuki in 2010.

Zhou added that the Splash will be an economical car with a unique considerate safety protection both for passengers and pedestrians. Targeting at young people, the Splash will feature a fashionable body styling, he said.
