Changan-Suzuki to launch 8 new car models in late 2008

Chongqing Chang'an-Suzuki Automobiles Co., Ltd., a venture of Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan in Southwest China, will launch eight new car models in the second half of 2008.

The venture, which released two new car models like 1.5L Swift and SX4 Sports Limited version during the first half of this year, will launch Swift summer special version, which adopts the design element of concept car model "concept-S" and is developed in three years, resembling BMW's small car model Mini-cooper.

The skylight version of the two-compartment SX4 will hit the market in the third quarter with the same price of two-compartment SX4 on sale.

Besides, Splash, a new-generation of Suzuki's classical small car model Alto which has attracted a lot of eyeballs since 2007-end, will be made in the venture at the year-end and sold in January 2009 with the same price range as Swift cars. Its instrument panel is quite similar to that of BMW Mini.
