SORL to supply parts to Chinese farm vehicle maker

NEW YORK (Associated Press) - SORL Auto Parts Inc., which makes air brake valves and related parts for commercial vehicles, said Tuesday it received a supplier development contract from China's largest maker of farm vehicles.

Financial terms of the agreement with Shi Feng Group were not disclosed.

The supplier development agreement initially covers 14 categories of products SORL will supply to Shi Feng. After successful product testing, the companies expect to sign definitive purchase agreements.

Zhejiang, China-based SORL, which already sells to truck and bus makers, said the deal is its first with a major Chinese manufacturer of agricultural vehicles.
