SUV sales volume ranking list in October: Roewe RX5 ranks top 10 and Emgrand GS sells more than 10,000 units

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai November 15th, 2016) According to CPCA’s latest data, the SUV sales volume in October is calculated in the following parts, with a total of 141 models and 905,000 units, increasing 44.3% compared with the same period of last year.

Seven self-independent SUV brands rank top 10 in October, and the other three seats include American brand, German brand and Japanese brand. Envision has the highest growth of 86.7%, while Roewe RX5 makes its debut in top 10 list. Although there are differences in technologies, quality and management between self-independent brands and foreign brands, the dominating positions of self-independent brands show their strengths in sales channels and understanding Chinese consumers’ demands.

The hotspot SUV Geely NL-3 ranks 12th in terms of wholesales volume with a number of 16,779 units in October. With the completion of construction of Baoji Factory, there are large probabilities that Geely GC9 and NL-3 all improve their sales volumes in the future.

Besides, Geely’s Crossover SUV Emgrand GS also sells more than 10,000 units in October, mainly resulted by its insight in Chinese consumers’ demand. In fact, both Emgrand GS and Mazda CX-4 are traditional hatchback crossovers, having no connection with SUVs. Making use of the immature consuming concepts of Chinese consumers, Geely and Mazda define the above products as “Crossover SUV”, attracting many attention and winning high sales volume.
